My Story 

My name is Sibyl. I have been working as a formally trained German chef since 1987.

 

When I first came in to Costa Rica in 1993, I had no idea that this country would become my new home.

On my first visit, a friend and I traveled for 3 weeks through Costa Rica and were fascinated by it's nature, beauty, 

and the kindness of the local people.

 

I returned in 1997 when I met Jochen, a German expat, who had lived here in Playa Junquillal since 1979.

To make the story short: we fell in love and I stayed, leaving my past, family, friends and last not least, my own restaurant in Hamburg, which I had opened together with 2 partners in 1989.
